DELIVERY LOCATION: DT Fleming Beach Parking Lot Entrance
DT Fleming Beach Park in West Maui has everything for couples, families, or solo travelers to enjoy a day out. Lifeguards provide safety, making it a great choice, especially for families with kids. Bask in the beach's warmth and gorgeous surroundings, but be prepared to cover up before the winds pick up in the late afternoon and evening.
DELIVERY LOCATION: Kapalua Beach Parking Lot Entrance
With stunning scenic views, palm-lined shores, and soft sand for swimming, Kapalua Beach is a gem of northwest Maui, perfect for families and offering excellent opportunities for snorkeling, although there's no lifeguard on duty. It can get crowded, so plan accordingly and get there earlier in the day for the best spots on the shoreline. Abundant sea life, including tropical fish and green sea turtles, enhances the experience. Public restrooms are available at the beach trailhead.
DELIVERY LOCATION: Napili Village Shopping Center Entrance
Napili Bay’s Beach on Maui's West Coast is a hidden gem, perfect for swimming, sun tanning, and safe snorkeling in consistently small and gentle waves. Boogie boarders can also enjoy worthwhile waves, and the beach offers stunning views of Moloka‘i and Lãna‘i. With a broad sandy shoreline, calm waters, and rolling waves, Napili is great for activities like kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and lounging on the soft sand. Although there isn't a lifeguard on duty, the beach provides a family-friendly atmosphere and plenty of sunshine.
DELIVERY LOCATION: Charley Young Beach Head
Charley Young Beach with its soft sand and a 3-mile stretch along Kihei's Kamaole I Beach. This sandy shore sitting between the Pacific waters and residential homes is beloved by locals for its relaxed atmosphere. While there are no lifeguards, the beach provides portable toilets, showers, and shade from sprawling Ironwood trees.
DELIVERY LOCATION: Charley Young Beach Head
Kamaole I (Kam 1) Beach has fine white sand and excellent swimming conditions, this crescent-shaped paradise is adjacent to Charley Young Beach. Stretching one-third of a mile, this beach is ideal for bodysurfing, snorkeling, swimming, and beach volleyball, as well as the casual stroll down the shore.
DELIVERY LOCATION: Charley Young Beach Head
Further south on South Kihei Road is Kamaole II (Kam 2), the middle sibling of Kamaole Beaches Park. Slightly smaller than Kamaole I, it spans just under a third of a mile. Best snorkeling is at the rocks framing both ends, while swimmers can enjoy the entire sandy bottom. Families can also delight in swimming, picnicking, paddleboarding, and bodyboarding.
DELIVERY LOCATION: Charley Young Beach Head
Kamaole III is considered the unique member of the Kamaole beach family. Although smaller, just over a hundred yards long, it stands out with rocky areas and impressive waves crashing onto the rocks. Families and groups can picnic, fly kites, or relax on the grassy area. A new playground entertains children, and boogie-boarders can enjoy sizable breaks during south swells.
DELIVERY LOCATION: Kilohana Drive across from Parking Lot
Keawakapu Beach, in South Maui between Kihei and Wailea, marks the end of South Kihei Road. This beautiful white sand beach along a developed coastline is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, boogie boarding, or simply soaking up the sun. The right-hand side offers the best snorkeling. Its location is somewhat hidden by the presence of a large residential community, which keeps it a secret from most visitors.
DELIVERY LOCATION: Po'olenalena Beach Head Entrance
Finding an empty beach in south Maui is rare, but Po'olenalena (also known as Paipu Beach, Pepeiaolepo Beach, Love Beach, Keauhou Beach, or Makena Surf Beach) might offer that peaceful experience. Perfect for swimming with its gently sloping sandy shores, the beach features lava rocks at each end for great snorkeling.
DELIVERY LOCATIONS: Po'olenalena Beach Head Entrance
Makena Beach (or Big Beach), stretches ⅔ mile with three entrances. Its pristine white sand attracts snorkelers and sunbathers alike. The beach offers lifeguards, portable toilets, picnic tables, and paved parking, but lacks freshwater amenities for drinking/showering. Families should take precautions due to high tides, and check the conditions with the on-duty lifeguard before entering the water as they can be very dangerous. Accessed by a small path over the hill and lava, Little Beach offers a secluded spot for naturists to enjoy nude sunbathing and swimming, defying Hawaii's prohibition on public nudity.
